Location: Angola
Salary: USD 4000 – 5000 (Negotiable)

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead and manage the sales strategy for our Detergent Powder products across both formal and informal markets in Angola. This critical leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong expertise in FMCG sales, market expansion, team leadership, and P&L management. The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth, build strong customer relationships, and optimize sales operations to achieve sustainable business success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy Development & Execution:
✔️ Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to increase revenue and market share.✔️ Lead sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting aligned with business objectives.✔️ Design pricing strategies, promotional activities, and distribution models to maximize market penetration.✔️ Identify new market opportunities and expand distribution networks.
2. P&L Management & Financial Performance:
✔️ Own and manage the Sales P&L, ensuring profitability and cost optimization.✔️ Monitor sales performance against financial targets and take corrective actions when needed.✔️ Optimize cost structures and pricing strategies to maintain strong profit margins.✔️ Collaborate with finance teams to align sales goals with overall business objectives.
3. Market Expansion & Customer Acquisition:
✔️ Develop and implement market penetration strategies for both formal and informal trade sectors.
✔️ Identify and establish strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and retail partners.
✔️ Drive business expansion by securing long-term distribution and sales partnerships.
✔️ Negotiate with large retailers, wholesalers, and independent vendors to increase product availability.
4. Sales Team Leadership & Development:
✔️ Build, manage, and develop a high-performing sales team, including regional and key account managers.
✔️ Set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
✔️ Develop and implement incentive programs to boost sales performance and motivation.
✔️ Ensure continuous training and skill development for sales professionals.
5. Sales Operations & Distribution Management:
✔️ Ensure optimal distribution of products, leveraging both direct and third-party distribution networks.
✔️ Develop supply chain strategies to prevent stockouts and improve logistics efficiency.
✔️ Track sales data and adjust strategies based on market trends and competitive analysis.
✔️ Work with the production and supply chain teams to align sales forecasts with inventory planning.
6. Market Analysis & Reporting:
✔️ Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
✔️ Monitor sales performance through KPIs and data-driven insights.
✔️ Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
✔️ Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team to optimize sales efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
📌 Experience: 10-15 years of progressive experience in sales and business development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the FMCG industry.
🌍 Market Expertise: Strong understanding of formal and informal sales channels in the detergent and FMCG sector.
💰 Financial Acumen: Hands-on experience in P&L management, revenue forecasting, and budget planning.
🤝 Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build, develop, and manage large sales teams.
