Job Description

Laura Connecting Agency (LCA) is looking for a Quality Coordinator on behalf of its industrial client specializing in the Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive sectors.

Position Overview

  • Job Title: Quality Coordinator

  • Contract Type: Permanent Contract (CDI)

  • Reporting To: Quality Manager

  • Location: Terrasson-Lavilledieu, FRANCE

As part of the Quality Department, the Quality Coordinator plays a pivotal role in mastering and improving product and process quality. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will work closely with Project, Logistics, and Production teams to ensure product compliance with aerospace customer requirements and group standards. As the quality representative on the shop floor, you will have the authority to stop non-compliant production lines.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

🔵 Product & Process Quality

  • Present mass production product files (FAI – First Article Inspection and DVI – Dossier de Validation Industrielle) to aerospace clients.

  • Monitor functional product characteristics according to client requirements and aerospace standards (materials, bonding, dimensions, etc.).

  • Handle customer complaints using problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and follow up on corrective action plans.

  • Manage supplier claims and ensure prompt supplier responsiveness.

  • Apply and enforce client requirements and Safran / EN 9100 standards.

  • Conduct internal audits and lead/participate in FMEA (AMDEC) elaboration.

  • Lead problem-solving groups (QRQC Level 2 / 8D) and weekly 8D progress routines.

  • Prepare and plan customer visits and audits.

  • Update product files continuously (inspection plans, defect catalog, FMEA, control plans).

  • Exercise floor authority to stop production/defective products with a solution-oriented approach.

🔵 Cost & Productivity

  • Reduce internal and external non-quality costs (sorting, scrap, rework).

  • Manage supplier chargebacks for non-quality costs.

0️⃣ Deadlines & Responsibilities

  • Submit FAI and DVI documentation strictly within assigned deadlines.

  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and drive supplier responsiveness.

🟢 HSE & Continuous Improvement

  • Enforce HSE guidelines (PPE, waste sorting) and propose environmental/safety improvements.

  • Participate in energy-saving initiatives.

  • Submit continuous improvement suggestions.

👤 Candidate Profile & Required Skills

  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of aerospace norms and customer requirements (EN 9100, Safran standards, etc.).

  • Quality Tools Mastery: Strong command of 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, FMEA (AMDEC), and QRQC.

  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.

  • Systems & Documentation: Comfortable with document tracking tools (Krypta or equivalent).

  • Soft Skills & Mindset:

    • Pragmatic, hands-on floor presence (“parts-in-hand” mentality).

    • Excellent communication skills with cross-functional production teams.

    • Constructive mindset focused on continuous improvement and problem resolution.
