Job Description
Position: Method Manager
Location:Angola
Salary: USD 1800 – 2000
Contract Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Method Manager to oversee and optimize operational efficiency within our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for spare parts management, procurement, and maintenance strategies to ensure seamless operations. This role requires expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance, cost control, regulatory compliance, and process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and TPM.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Strategy & Implementation
Develop, implement, and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability.
Standardize maintenance methodologies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Utilize tools such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and 5 Why Analysis to diagnose and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and industry best practices.
2. Spare Parts & Inventory Management
Develop and maintain a structured spare parts inventory system to optimize availability and reduce costs.
Implement inventory tracking methods such as ABC & XYZ analysis for critical spare parts categorization.
Work closely with warehouse teams to enhance storage, labelling, and retrieval mechanisms.
3. Procurement & Supplier Management
Develop a spare parts procurement strategy to ensure timely availability while optimizing costs.
Source and negotiate with vendors to secure high-quality and cost-effective parts and materials.
Establish long-term supplier contracts and conduct periodic evaluations for performance and reliability.
4. Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for maintenance efficiency, spare parts usage, and procurement effectiveness.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and TPM methodologies.
Conduct regular audits, performance assessments, and training programs to enhance team capabilities.
5. Budgeting & Cost Control
Develop and manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets related to spare parts procurement and maintenance activities.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction while ensuring operational reliability.
Monitor and control spare parts expenses to prevent budget overruns.
6. Compliance & Safety
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in spare parts handling and procurement.
Conduct risk assessments related to maintenance and chemical usage.
Ensure compliance with Eco Chemico KPIs and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
Educational Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s Degree in Engineering Management or an MBA is a plus).
Professional Experience
5–10 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a focus on:
Maintenance & Reliability strategies (Preventive, Predictive, Corrective).
Spare parts inventory management and procurement.
Vendor and supplier relationship management.
Strong experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, and ISO standards.
Proven ability to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, 5 Why Analysis, and other problem-solving tools.
Experience with ERP and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP PM) for inventory and maintenance management.
Understanding of sustainability principles and regulatory frameworks related to chemical safety.
Soft Skills & Leadership Competencies
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills for vendor management.
Ability to handle multiple projects and drive process optimization initiatives.
Certifications (Preferred):
CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or equivalent certification.
Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
HSE or ISO Lead Auditor certification.
