Mechanical Design Engineer – Plastics Specialist (Automotive Sector)
š Hammel Lif, Tunisia
We’re seeking an innovativeĀ Plastics Design EngineerĀ to join our automotive client’s R&D team. If you’re passionate about pushing the boundaries of polymer applications in vehicles, this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Design and develop cutting-edge plastic components for automotive applications
ā¢ Optimize designs for injection molding (draft angles, wall thickness, stress analysis)
ā¢ Manage complete project lifecycle from prototyping to industrialization
ā¢ Collaborate with production teams and suppliers
ā¢ Analyze polymer material properties and performance
š Required Skills:
ā¢ Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
ā¢ 3-5 years of plastic product design experience
ā¢ Advanced SolidWorks proficiency (surfaces, sheet metal, mold tools)
ā¢ Hands-on experience with injection molding design
ā¢ Knowledge of automotive industry standards and processes
ā¢ Full professional fluency in French & English
š Preferred Qualifications:
ā¢ Experience with technical materials (composites, bio-materials)
ā¢ Familiarity with injection molding simulation tools
ā¢ SolidWorks Plastics or related certifications
