On behalf of our client based in Ivory Coast, we are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Electro-mechanical Technician to join their team. This position is located in Ivory Coast and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance department’s activities, ensuring the seamless operation of biscuit production lines and utility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance Management: Control all activities of the Maintenance department, including conducting all preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for production lines and utilities.

• Operational Oversight: Maintain direct and conventional gas burners, laminating units, rotary biscuit lines, and horizontal mixers.

• Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and correct line faults in both production and packing areas to minimize downtime.

• Automation & Programming: Develop, troubleshoot, and program PLCs (ladder diagrams) and HMIs from various vendors such as Delta, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Allen Bradley.

• Electrical & Control Systems: Manage electrical control systems, power systems, panel wiring, and fault-finding using electrical schematics.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform maintenance on VFFS/PFS machines, flow wrappers, edge wrap packing machines, multi-head weighers, checkweighers, and metal detectors.

• Process Improvement: Analyze existing procedures to identify shortcomings and implement automated process control devices to maximize energy efficiency.

• Reporting: Maintain all departmental records, including monthly maintenance reports, cleaning schedules, and autonomous maintenance logs.

Required Profile & Skills

• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment, specifically within a Biscuits Plant environment.

• Location: Must be willing to work and reside in Ivory Coast.

• Education: Senior Technician level qualification.

• Age Preference: Between 25 and 35 years old.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong expertise in PLC, SCADA, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Induction Motors, Servo Motors, and Stepper Systems.

  • Proficiency in pneumatic systems maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Experience in the erection and commissioning of biscuit production lines.

  • Knowledge of electronic cards, SSR cards, timers, and heat sensors.

• Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work calmly under high pressure.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and manpower handling skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset with a positive, problem-solving attitude.

• IT Literacy: Good knowledge of industrial PLC software, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and internet-based reporting.
